The Arrows Z is the latest smartphone from Fujitsu Toshiba Mobile Communications. It will be released on the AU network from late November 2011. “The concept behind this model is “Triple High Speed”. First of all, in regards to data transmission speeds, this model supports WiMAX. The second thing that makes it faster is its dual-core CPU, so this smartphone itself is designed to perform very fast. Finally, this model has a full range of cellphone capabilities, and they’re all super-speedy. We’ve trademarked the name “Speedy Touch-Panel,” and we’ve built in technology to handle fast finger movements, so this model is worthy of that name.” This smartphone runs Android 2.3 on a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor, and has a 4.3-inch, 1280 x 720 pixel High Definition display. The 13MP camera which uses an Exmor CMOS sensor, can shoot Full High Definition video, which can be watched on a TV via HDMI. The model is also waterproof, and supports Japanese standards such as mobile TV, the mobile wallet service and Infrared Data Transmission. “Regarding software, this model includes handwriting text entry and Fujitsu’s unique home screen application, so it’s very comfortable to use. So, for example, you can start up the camera direct from the phone’s lock screen, without having to search for it on the home screen. We’ve also included handwriting entry, which makes it easy to input Japanese text, especially for the many customers who find touchscreens awkward to use.” “This model’s high communication speed and CPU speed will make it attractive to gadget fans. But the main target for this model is people who want to do lots of things on a smartphone, like watching TV and stuff like that.” This model will be available in white, blue, pink, and black.
