Wi-Fi compatible LUMIX DMC-FX90 lets you conveniently share photos and videos on SNSs and the Blu-ray Disc(TM) recorder's new function lets you create a "moving album"

In one of the photo digests I uploaded on the first day of CEATEC JAPAN 2011, I mentioned the Wi-Fi compatible LUMIX DMC-FX90 and how it can send photographs taken to a smart phone over the Wi-Fi network. At the booth, a demonstration introducing how the same LUMIX can send photographs to the "LUMIX CLUB PicMate," a photograph/video sharing site Panasonic provides free of charge, takes place. The whole process is really simple. Press the "Wi-Fi" button on the DMC-FX90 and when a list of the photographs is displayed, touch and drag upwards the photograph(s) you want to upload. Next, choose "Web service," then "LUMIX CLUB PicMate" as the destination, and the camera will start uploading the selected photograph(s). Even if you don't have a "LUMIX CLUB PicMate" account yet, you can register for one from the DMC-FX90 menu. If you use the "LUMIX CLUB PicMate," you can upload pictures to SNSs such as "Facebook" or "mixi," or also send photographs to the Blu-ray Disc(TM) recorder in your family or friends' homes. I remember going to get photographs from my wedding reception developed at a 45-min photo shop back in the day so that I could share them with friends who came to the reception. Nowadays you can share your photographs instantly, so the way we enjoy photographs has changed significantly.
